ABOUT - US

Tubibe Amahoro (TA), meaning “Sow Peace,” is a Rwandan non-governmental organization founded in 2000 in response to the aftermath of the Genocide against the Tutsi. The organization was established by 30 committed members who shared a common vision of rebuilding society through peace, justice, dialogue and socio-economic empowerment.

Over the past 25 years, Tubibe Amahoro has grown from a small community initiative into a nationally recognized civil society organization operating in 12 districts across Rwanda, with its headquarters in Karongi District. TA currently works with 25 permanent staff and more than 25,000 community volunteers, enabling strong grassroots engagement and sustainable impact.

Tubibe Amahoro has extensive experience in designing and implementing rights-based development programs and has built a strong reputation through partnerships with national and international organizations including Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), ActionAid Rwanda, CARE International, SIDA, DFID, EU, UNDP, UNITAR, KNH, among others.
